Before PM Modi's address, not only Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also targeted the Center. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had said that Bengal did not get anything from the meeting with PM Modi through video conference and had to return empty-handed. Mamta Banerjee alleged that West Bengal has not received the financial support from the Center as much as it deserves.

PM Modi closes opposition

Amid sharp attacks from the opposition, PM Modi in his address announced the package of Rs 20 lakh crore and stopped speaking to the opposition. In his address, the Prime Minister said that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present before the country in detail the relief package in a phased manner from Wednesday to the next few days. PM Modi said that this self-sufficient India campaign package of Rs 20 crore is about 10 percent of the country's total GDP.

Chidambaram also advocated the introduction of air services, supporting the decision to start trains. They say that the introduction of road transport, not only rail and air, will lead to economic activities which will help to a great extent in stopping the migration of laborers.

States should get more rights
