He said that he is announcing this package to make the country self-reliant. Prime Minister Modi announced this in his address to the nation at eight o'clock on Tuesday evening. He said that if the package announced by him today and the economic package given by the government and the relief given through the decisions of the Reserve Bank, the government announced an economic package of Rs 20 lakh crore in 2020. He said that this is equivalent to 10 percent of India's GDP.

Prime Minister Modi said, "I am announcing a special economic package today, with a new resolution, facing the Corona crisis. This economic package will serve as an important link to the self-reliant India campaign. Recently, the economic announcements made by the government related to the Corona crisis, which were the decisions of the Reserve Bank and the economic package that is being announced today, it is about 20 lakh crore rupees. This package is about 10 percent of India's GDP.

Prime Minister Modi said that land, labor, cash and law will be emphasized in this special economic package. Modi said that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will share detailed information related to the Special Economic Package from Wednesday.

Prime Minister Modi said that the special economic package is for the workers of the country, farmers, honest taxpayers, MSME and cottage industries.

He said, "This economic package is for that laborer of the country, for that farmer of the country, who is working day and night for the countrymen in every situation, every season." This economic package is for the middle class of our country, which pays its tax honestly. Contributes to the development of the country.

He said in his address to the nation that India's resolve power is such that India can become self-sufficient. The grand building of self-sufficient India will stand on five 'Pillars'. For this, he called the economy the first 'Pillar'. He said, "An economy that brings Quantum Jump, not incremental change".

Prime Minister Modi described infrastructure as the second pillar. He stressed the need for such infrastructure, which became the identity of modern India.
